Q: Beach wedding cake ideas?
I need help i have been looking and i like this one
http://www.wedding-flowers-and-reception-ideas.com/images/beach-wedding-cake01.jpg
four tier
any ideas
thx yea the bottom part is going to be blue
A: It’s very theme-like for a sea themed wedding… I would rather have the brown parts blue to symbolize the water because it doesn’t seem pretty enough to me… but then you can always have beach sand sitting on the table under the cake. … it just seems that the brown next to the seahorse doesn’t translate well because the seahorse never comes out of the water, if you know what I mean.
i hope that makes sense to you and that I explained my thoughts well enough.
Q: I need a great beach/tropical wedding cake idea!?
I have looked EVERYWHERE!! I cant find anything original or inspiring. My colors are yellow and orange, I dont like the shells clumped up on the cake or scattered weirdly. I just want an amazing cake and am lost…HELP PLEASE! Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
A: You could have beautiful tropical flowers surrounding it like beautiful hibiscus flowers in your colors. Here is an example you could do with fake flowers made with iceing.

Q: Sand Castle Cake for Beach Themed Wedding?
I am looking for a sand castle cake idea with pics. I have looked online, but they’re not what I really like. Any ideas? I know this has been asked here before, but they’re a bit outdated. Thank you!
A: Here are a few links
Q: Does anybody have ideas for a beach wedding?
I was just proposed to at age 17 not too long ago, already had a miscarriage with his baby, and we aren’t getting married for 2 years…We have already been through alot and have alot to still go through. I will be getting my own place in a yearish and will probably live with him before we get married to see how that would be…..Our wedding will be at St. Augustine beach but want to find an inexpensive “1-2K” wedding and reception…..Cake is picked out but thats about it besides little ideas….
A: what a great idea. I love beach weddings. have tiki torches line the aisles with sea shells. wear a simple white dress with some flowers in your hair. have the boys wear light blue with tan khakis. tell your guests to dress casual. pictures on the beach always come out great, so just have a friend you trust take them. do a BBQ on the beach for food.
Wait for the end of the summer season and buy things, they’ll be marked way down and will save you some $$. Good luck to you.
Q: beach wedding ideas ?
i was just wondering if your having a beach wedding are you having a beach theme? or not. what are your colors and what are you doing for centerpieces and the cake?
thanks guys
A: I had a beach wedding in March. My colors where teal, chocolate, and orange. I had some beachy things like the escort cards and the card box. The guys had starfish boutonnieres and we all whore sandals. The centerpieces where tall clear glass vases that looked like bamboo with sunken orange flowers. The cake was bamboo edging with waves on the panels and sea glass on the table.
Q: wedding cake?
any ideas for wedding cake ???? wedding on the beach in hawaii…what do you think..what dress would be perfect for that ??
A: have pineapple flavor cake, and wear a light wispy dress, something that moves with the wind, and is flattering to both u and your surroundings. You do NOT want to wear a poofy, over the top gown, well only if it is a evening wedding held indoors.
Q: Where can i find wedding cake toppers?
My wedding theme is beach and dolphins. I am looking for a cake topper that is dolphins. I want to find something that is 2 dolphins jumping out of water and coming together into a heart. I cannot find anything anywhere. Does anybody have any ideas of where i can look? I also want to find ribbon that has 49ers on ribbon does anybody know where i can find that also?

Q: ok heres my cupcake wedding cake idea?
ok so my wedding colors are turquoise and expresso. we are having a family ceremony on the beach and coming home and having a reception a few days later. for the cake i want to do the cupcake tier thing
so i thought i could do cupcakes with brown liners and turquoise icing and topped with a white chocolate seashell
or
turquoise cupcake liners with brown icing and topped with a white chocolate seashell
and for our small cake it would be a a turquoise cake with white chocolate seashells on it
which do you like better
A: I vote for doing the cupcakes to match the cake . . . or if you simply cannot decide, do a variety of cupcakes.
Oh, I just wanna look at photos, LOL.

Q: Centerpieces and cake ideas for relaxed, 1920’s themed wedding?
So we’re having a 1920’s themed wedding on the beach and I just need to help with centerpieces and cakes. I’m thinking of having a cupcake tower but I want it to have a few different flavours that reflect the location – any suggestions?
The colours will be cream, a very soft, dusty pink and a darker blue-grey. I don’t want a mountain of flowers as the centerpieces as I want the guests to be able to see each other, but I don’t want heaps of seashells either, so what else could I use?
I’m also thinking of having a birdcage veil, but I don’t know if this will suit the theme…
Help with any of these things would be fantastic! Thanks!
Ok, this is a RELAXED vintage wedding. We are not going for “excess” as such, but rather for the “refined vintage elegance” look.
A: For your centerpieces I would try and do something with feathers and sparkle. When I think of the ’20’s I automaticly think of a flapper. People were flashy. Pearls were really big during that time too. “Bouquets were large and elaborate. Use magnolias, cala lilies, gardenias, and ostrich feathers.” So you could even use some of those things to put as centerpieces.
hope this helped
Q: Casual wedding reception favor ideas? (Beach/Tiki theme.)?
I am having a casual backyard reception with just some close friends and family. (About 20-25 people, half of them probably under the age of 12.) My colors are raspberry, orange, green, and natural or “tan” color for loosley themed tiki or tropical idea. My invitations had a tan naturally speckled color (like dark recycled paper) for the background, and a heavily textured cream colored linen paper for the foreground with brown Papyrus font, cream colored flowers, and a brown twine tying it together. The cake will be white with pink and orange roses and green vines. The backyard is huge, and we bought a 13′ pool for the kids to play in. We will have white paper lanterns, bamboo, barbecue chicken, rice, a variety of salads, maybe some spam musubi, and punch, etc…
I REALLY need ideas for favors. (If you mention Jordan Almonds I’ll throw up…lol) Something UNQUIE. Something that the whole family can enjoy.
A: I’d go with beach style candles.
Q: wedding cakes, i am doing a cupcake wedding cake?
i am having a beach themed wedding and wanting to do a cupcake wedding cake with cream icing and have a small cake on top for cutting of course but what can i derco the cupcakes with i was thinking about something eat able that looks like sand or something any ideas?
A: cover it in crumbled graham crackers (looks like sand) go to the candy store and get edible sea shells, some places make white choloate shells. You culd use an icing tip to put your and ur hubbies initials in blue on the shells. good luck & congrads!
Q: our wedding cake?
we are having a small wedding, 30-40 people. we’re having a priest come out and marry us on the kemah boardwalk. afterwards we are going to go up to one of the restaurants for lunch. lunch is going to be our little reception.
would it be inappropriate to have a grooms cake as well? considering the way we are doing our wedding?
and i’m having a hard time figuring out what “theme” to do for our cake. the boardwalk is on the galveston bay. but NOT on the beach. i would have liked to do a beachy cake…but it just wouldnt seem right. i am going to be wearing an all white little sun dress and my fiance will have on some nice kaki pants/shorts and a nice white shirt. we were talking about wearing cute matching shell necklaces, but thats about as close as it comes to the beach. so i dont know what to have the cake look like….ideas? or good websites with wedding cakes? i’m stumped..
A: Check out cakecentral.com. They have absolutely beautiful cakes. If it is too pricey then at the least you can get some ideas. Seriously…absolutely beautiful.
And I dont think it would be in bad taste to have a grooms cake. Even if it’s not “proper ettiquette” to have one at such a small wedding…it’s your wedding and you could have big buckets of KFC put on each table with a side of mashed potatoes and that would be just fine if thats what you wanted. My cousin had a wedding reception in the church gymnasium and they had a grooms cake. Whatever makes you both happy.
Q: Can I get some help with a cheap wedding?
My Bf and I are planning a wedding for next July. Can we ge some practical tips on how to have an affordable wedding. we live in Jamaica and we want to have a beach front wedding .Any ideas on cheap decoration and cakes etc.
A: The great thing about beach and outdoor weddings is that you get to utilize the scenery! You should not and don’t need to add a lot of decor to any outdoor location, as this looks contrived.
A simple bamboo or other natural element arch is a great ceremony piece, but that is really as far as I would go on the beach. You don’t necessarily need that.
I have also seen a look with bamboo or wooden poles with streamers of ribbon or tulle and a few flowers either down the aisle or on either side of where you and the groom will stand. They look great!
Other ways to save that I recommend to all my brides are these:
*Favors, programs, etc. are luxury items! You don’t “need” them, so skip them to save a little.
*Buy the cheapest invites you like; they are going in the trash anyway!
*Don’t go overboard on the cake! If you have 100 guests coming, and will have other snacks or food, then only order about 85 servings of cake–trust me, it will be enough!
*Have vases with just greenery waiting on some of the tables for the reception; put the bridesmaids’ bouquets in them.
*Use a tall vase with sand & shells in the bottom, then a few birch or willow branches out the top, with just a few flower heads attached. Put votive candles all around vase. Great look, for not much money. Look for sales on sand & branches at places like Hobby Lobby or Michael’s.
Hope this helps!
Q: Help with Cake ideas please!?
I am having a beach themed wedding with 250-300 guest. I want a cake that isn’t too over the top as our reception is going to be pretty laid back, but I need one large enough to feed that many people…Does anyone have any ideas or pics that you could share? I would greatly appreciate it!
A: Ask the bakery about the size you will need – it sounds like you will need around 4 or 5 tiers. If you don’t want anything to big you can maybe get a 3 tier cake, then order sheet cakes from the bakery and have the reception staff cut the sheet cakes in the kitchen and then serve them…your guests will never know the difference. A lot of people do sheet cakes in order to save some money.
Here are a few designs that I like. They aren’t to over the top – simple and pretty:
