Q: In need of good wedding cake pictures?
Hello. I have some decent pictures of what I want for a wedding cake. Basic 3-4 tiered, round, buttercream cake with real roses with some subtle white frosting design (dots or floral designs). Do you have any great sites that I can take a look at with tons of cake pictures?
Thanks in advance!
Kate
A: theknot.com has over 1000+ cake pictures.
I’ve also looked at Martha Sterwart’s website… the wedding section. She’s go lots of cakes.. I don’t know about 100 or more but it’s an idea.
I would definitely check out the knot though.

Some amazing cakes can be found there. With flowers and details and both! I know, I’ve looked!
Good luck!
Q: I Need Help Finding Pictures Of Cake Boss Cherry Blossom Wedding Cake!?
I’ve watched Cake Boss on TLC and Buddy and his crew made a simple but beautiful cherry blossom wedding cake. It had white icing, round cakes, perfectly centered, and several tiers with brown branches climbing up the cake with cherry blossoms at the tips of the branches.
Thanks for the pictures!

Q: Strawberry Blossom Wedding Cake Picture?
I need help.
My sister is getting married soon and she has a strawberry theme. She found a picture of a round three tier wedding cake with white frosting or fondant and red and green strawberry blossoms. It wasnt that cute but she fell in love with it. Her friend that was going to make it fell through so she had a change it to something simple.
I would love to surprise her with that cake but I cannot for the life of me find a picture of it. Does anyone know where I can find it?:
It would mean the world to me if you could help me.
Thanks so much
~Susie

Q: Cake Decorators: What are the best sized cakes to use to do 4 alternating square and round cake layers?
I am wanting to make a wedding cake just like the picture on this site:
http://wedding.nondot.org/planning/pics/cakes/bottomround.jpg
What sized cakes do you think they used? I am needing to feed 175-200 people.
A: I’m thinking it’s 6″ round, 8″ square, 10″ round, 12″ square, 14″ round. I don’t have my wilton yearbook in front of me but if you can get your hands on one, it will tell you servicing size for each cake. That’s a beautiful choice. Good luck with it!
Q: Anyone have pictures of pink/heart wedding cakes?
I have to provide my bakery with a picture of the cake that I want. We are getting a three tier round cake…I want to make it light pink and ivory with some kind of hearts-maybe on the border of the cake. Does anyone have any good pictures? Thanks in advance!
A: Maybe some of these will help!

Q: Can anyone show me a unique wedding cake? ?
I have looked online and search yahoo and google and haven’t found anything that caught my eye. I am having my cousin to do it. This is only her 3rd or 4th wedding so she doesn’t have her own pictures yet. I kinna found one that had like 4small round cakes then a bigger round one on top and so on. I know that is confusing but can anyone find a picture similar to that?

A: I love your cake pic.. It’s adorable!!
Here’s one that I think is so fun..

Q: Has anyone had multiple wedding cakes?
I am planning on going with the multiple wedding cake idea. Instead of having just one stacked cake, I was looking at having several round cakes. Two larger sized ones and the rest smaller. Any ideas on arrangement or patterns on the cake. I am looking to only use a few flowers if possible or go with a nice pattern. Any links or pictures you can provide would be great so I can borrow the ideas. Thanks!
A: Ok ……………..I got married 23 years ago and my cake was 3 layers (tiers) but not on top of each other, kinda like stair steps. The cake people had clear cylinders with the cake platform on top at 2 different heights. I put a few flowers inside the cylinder then the cake was placed on top. The biggest layer was just flat on the table. It was very pretty. Anyhow here are some other ideas! best wishes…………………..
Q: How to display wedding cake?
We have a favorite bakery that makes this most delicious cake in various round sizes (6″, 12″, 16″, etc) and also a 1/2 sheet cake.
However, this bakery does not do wedding cakes and tiers. Is there a way to order 3-16″ cakes and display them on varying heights of cake stands? Or will that look stupid?
We want to go with this bakery for a number of reasons: we love their signature cake, the cost is cut in half instead of ordering through caterers, it boosts business for our favorite local bakery.
Can anyone post pictures of separated tiered cakes online?
A: My wedding cake is going to be on cake stands at various heights and its going to look GORGEOUS! I’ll try to find my and add it for you.
Edit:
Here it is! I love it!

Q: How much detail is too much for a wedding cake?
I am a college student who is waiting to get married until a few years after graduation, so the wedding will not be happening until 2011. I have already found my dress though and bought it since the style has been discontinued. Our wedding will be in the fall and we are incorporating darker natural tones into the decorations. The dress I chose has a distinct floral pattern around the bottom edge and I am wondering how that pattern would look around the layers of my cake. I am thinking of a 4 tier round cake, with off white buttercream frosting. I would like the details on the cake to reflect the colors on the dress but would that be too much?
Here is a picture of the dress.
http://www.valcollections2.com/fullView.asp?sf=y&nb=1&id=’195880786′&img=http://www.valcollections.com/images/mon/mc-25291a.jpg
There are two different colored dresses, if you look at the second brighter dress, that is the one I have.
A: i think that design would look great on your cake. you might consider a large rectangle for the bottom layer so the design would have enough space to establish the pattern.
then i would use it just as accents on the other round layers or if you can find real flowers that match the design flowers, you could use them between layers.
btw, i love that dress! lucky bride, lucky groom!
Q: How do I go about assembling a 3 tier wedding cake using store bought cakes?
Okay, I am abroad and I can’t find a bakery here who’ll do a traditional Canadian style wedding cake. My local grocery store bakery has agreed to do 3 layered carrot cakes with creamcheese frosting and filling. I wanted a round 3 tiered cake- they will only do square cakes- one 6 serving, one 8 and one 12. Can I tier them myself and have it look okay? How do I do it? Thanks for any help you can give:-)
xo
–I’m in Sweden, the south of Sweden. And yes one bakery would do a 2 tiered cake (after I showed a picture of one) for over 10 dollars a serving!
I said assemble-not bake. I am having them made, I just want to know how to teir them. Franken….. your answer was ****.rude!!!!
With the dowels, 6 in the bottom and 4 in the middle—does that mean that 4 of the dowels from the bottom also go through the middle? or 6 seperate for the bottom and 4 for the middle—I hope that makes sense?!
A: you need to put dowels in the 2 bottom layers. They are basically sticks. ive used chopsticks, straws when I couldnt find them. the bottom layer should have 6, the middle 4.they help support the layers.its a great idea.any flaws around the edges can be covered w/ flowers.
Q: Does anyone know where I can get ideas for wedding cake designs?
My mom is making my wedding cake because there will only be 5 people, including myself and my fiance. I don’t want anything fondant, but I want it to be relatively simple. I want some pink in it as well, but if I could find a design, I could change the colors, to colors I want. My mom took cakedecorating years ago, but I just don’t want to do anything too advanced. I want small cakes, a 2-tier, so we can freeze the top one. I don’t care if it’s square or round, but I kinda like the square cakes. I am including a link below of the first cake I picked out, but it’s fondant, so I decided against it unless I can’t find anything else. I’m getting married the first week of July, so I need to get an idea quick!

A: I had my wedding cake home made as well (just recently!) The design I picked out was from a website like the one you provided, and I just made alterations suiting my needs. Even though the one you initially picked has fondant, you can always alter that. The cake design I chose had fondant as well, but there’s a trick to make a “fake fondant” type of look. Use decorative icing to ice your cake. Once the icing has crusted just a little bit (about 5 mins or so), lay a paper towel down and rub gently in a circular motion. This will smooth the icing out completely, and while it won’t have the flat thick look of fondant, it will definitely give more professional appeal to your cake.
You can email me through my profile if you like, I’ll send you a picture of what my cake looked like.
Q: Need help finding a picture of a cake?
About a year or 2 ago I found a picture of a round cake with pink and brown polka dot ribbon around the base of each layer. That is the cake I want for my wedding, but I can’t find it anywhere!! Has anyone seen this cake?
my cake maker is a family friend. this is her first cake for someone that isnt in her family so she wanted a good pic of what i wanted.
A: Check out the links below. This should get you started. If you have a good visual of what you want your cake to look like, get with your cake designer and compare these pictures.
Q: i would like to ask about wedding cakes?
My man and I would like a wedding cake that isn’t a usual cake for our wedding in a year or more from now. Haven’t settled on a date yet but Im doing the research on the wedding “stuff” now. What we want is a cake that is three layered and round. I would like to put picture stills from the movies that we considered dates on the icing. Just have a wedding cake of just favorite lines from the movies or picture stills of our favorite movies. It has to be in Colorado though. I can’t find a website that has cake designers that would do that. I might have to ask a specialist or davids bridal.
A: What you’re looking for is something like this:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_CXxZUo2Y2QI/Szq_Nk4pAGI/AAAAAAAADo8/jLio846eq7s/s1600/Black+and+white+edible+photo+5tier+wedding+cake.jpg
Right?
This technique is far simpler than it looks: it’s called Edible Images and any good baker/decorator will have access to an Edible Image Printer. As a matter of fact, many do. You can have the cake of your dreams; just know to ask the right questions. When consulting, show them this picture and ask them, “Can you do edible images on my wedding cake?” More than likely they’ll be able to and they’ll be happy to do so for you.
Congrats
Q: Has anyone seen this picture frame type deal…?
I seen this cake that had a round picture frame as the separators instead of like flowers or whatever… and I seen the picture frame way before I wanted it for my wedding cake but now I can’t find one… Can anyone tell me where I can find one or anything…. Q: What are some must have pages I should include in our wedding scrapbook?
I love to scrapbook… well, more like… love to buy scrapbooking supplies. I’ve decided to make a scrapbook of our wedding and new lives together. I’m just not sure where to start. Here’s what I got so far:
How we met. This page will be entitled “Computer Love” because we met in yahoo chat and my sister decided that just *had* to be our song.
“Our First Date” He flew my mom and I out to meet him in person.
“Our Second Date” My mom and I drove 28 hours (round trip) to spend the weekend with him.
“Our Wedding” pictures from our Justice of the Peace ceremony.
“Surprise”, our JP ceremony is planned for his birthday. I’m thinking of having a suprise birthday cake waiting for him at the restaurant.
“Our Honeymoon” pics from our upcoming honeymoon.
And that’s as far as I got… What other essential pages do we just *have* to have???
Thanks!!!
A: First Off, Congrats on getting proposed to and getting married! I can’t wait for my day to come. lol
I agree with the first answer. You should have a Building Our Lives together page, and put like the first memories together, and you getting your new house together, if you plan to have kids make a page of you and him and you pregnant or with the baby or something. I think you should also have a page titled Newly Wed Lives or Our Lives Now, and have pictures of you out to dinner, at the park, with your families, walking on the side walk, at the grocery store, or just at home hanging out, maybe him helping you cook dinner, or you guys washing laundry.
