A: Have you looked through Christmas or holiday clearance at stores.
Plenty of star toppers. Recently at Target’s in the home decor section, a 3-4 dimensional star with a pewter color frame, some with caprize shells, some just the form might work.

Visit a year round christmas store in your area and get some ideas.

A: try using gum paste, they sell it at Walmart or craft stores, look online

If you have time to practice try using royal icing it drys really hard

A: You can find cake top floral containers at any cake supply store. They are usually white plastic with a well in them so that you can insert green floral foam and then then flowers stick into that. You might want to practice a few times before using artifical flowers to get the look that you want before using your real ones.

Q: Need help locating a wedding cake topper?
I’m looking for a wedding cake topper that I can’t seem to find anywhere. I saw it originally 2 years ago when my sister was looking for a wedding cake topper for her wedding, and now I’m getting married and of course I can’t find it.
Anyway, anyone know where I can find a wedding cake topper, where the groom is helping the bride climb the side of cake?

A: Check out the cake toppers on ebay – you can even get ones custom made from your photos so their faces look like yours! Or just the usual cartoon ones with different hair. It’s a lot cheaper.

Q: Is it safe to spray paint a wedding cake topper?
I have some little wooden chairs and some sea shells I want to have the decorator put on my wedding cake. Is it safe to spray paint them white about a month in advance and then put them on the cake? Or would the paint get into the cake somehow? I don’t want to poison anyone! :-P

A: Well, I don’t have much experience in this area, but i would try spray painting them and then dip them a few times in melted wax for candles. It might take away from the look you are going for, but it isn’t hard to do. You get get the supplies at Micheal’s.

For the wedding cake topper I am looking for one of two things.. either the army beret with a tiara.. or I want some army black boots with cinderella slippers.. does anyone have any clue where I can find the army things? A: i would check with your baker to see what they can do for you, there are a lot of people going with edible cake toppers these days. it is such a good idea. you design exactly what you want and they make it for you.
