Q: Can anyone find a picture of the black, red, and white wedding cake from “because i said so”???
So, I am getting married soon and LOVE the black and white fondant cake from the end of the movie, “Because I said So.” I know it is made by cake divas (cakedivas.com) and I have found a partial picture here:

A: I’ve done cakes like that and I just tier the cakes with spaces in between and then fill in the spaces with red and blue flowers with baby’s breathe. The cakes look very festive and not outlandish. Of course, you could incorporate stars or something. Good luck to you!

do you really think any of your guests will be saying that at your reception? No one cares if the actual color of the cake doesn’t go with your theme. all they care about is if it tastes good. When you go for a taste test, they don’t only let you sample the cakes that go with your color scheme. You decide on what you want to have and have it!! enjoy your day!!

A: The flowers are made out of soft icing, the roll out variety which can be cut with a shapes cutter or sharp knife the icing then dries hard when left to the air. The dots are piped onto the cake using a piping bag.

Q: Red and White Wedding!?
My sister wants a red and white wedding, but her and her fiance don”t know what time of year they should have it. Also, they need ideas for decorations, cake, flowers, dresses, etc. Please answer! Thank you!!

A: I am getting married in October and my wedding dress is red and my bridesmaids are in white with a black sash. We are getting married on halloween and using the red as the main colour.
My bouquet will be with white and accents of black while the bridemaids flowers will be red (roses).

They could either do it around valentines day or in the fall and incorporate some fall colours in the decorations, like leaves etc..
They can use white and red tables clothes and alter the colours from table to table. Just an idea.
I have just started blogging abou some wedding ideas too incase they are interested in reading up on some tips etc..

Ive already asked this question but want to clarify: My wedding colors are white and black with red accents. I am having a 3 tier fountain wedding cake with the two staircases down the sides to two smaller, 2 tier cakes. I have a white cake toppers (calla lillies inside a heart for the smaller cake and a white dancing couple for the larger cake). I don’t want a complete black cake I’m worried itll be too dark or look gothic.So I thought a white cake but have a black lace design on it (so it looks like black lace is wrapped around the cake a little white will show but itll be mostly black), then some red flowers. (there will also be a ring of flowers around the cake.
Opinions or ideas please.
Clarification: BLack will b fondant, it doesnt stain, I want more black than white because my cake toppers r solid white. and I know it is a difficult design with the lace and everything, but a professional is doing my cake. (and its not solid black)

I’m looking for ideas for my chosen wedding colors. We’re getting married indoors in early October. We’re trying to find budget friendly ideas, hopefully some DIY ideas, that will pull everything together and make it look wonderful. I’m thinking Mostly black and white with splashes of red…real red, not wine, or brick…crayon red:) Any suggestions? I’m having a hard time finding any sites or images to give me ideas……decorations, cake, dresses, flowers, etc. Please help! A: Okay…girls in black & white dresses…guys in black tuxes(suits) with white shirts….the girls carry red bouquets…long stemmed bundles of red roses or red asian lillies-you can can get a deep shade of red) tied with a ribbon of either black or white…the guys wear red flowers on their lapels…very,very stunning…..

the cake…white icing & decorated with a silk floral topper of red flowers….I’d avoid black or red icing as it tends to bleed into the white and tastes bitter ( I.m a retired baker)..could use dark fudge chocolate with white & red flowers in icing, and the red & white silk flower topper with white ribbons trailing down the sides of the cake from the topper.

White tablecloths with alternating napkins in red and white…or red tablecloths & white napkins….the table arrangements should be red flowers with the white tablecloth or white flowers with the red table cloth…both with black ribbons…..

A: One of my fiance’s best friends (his best man actually) had a cream, red, and orange themed wedding. It was beautiful although I don’t have any photos of it. Here are some photos I found online. I highly recommend using lipstick roses, they are my favorite rose and a beautiful red and orange color

A: Avril Lavigne had a black and red reception, and although I’m not a huge fan of her’s, her wedding was gorgeous. The ceremony was more girly and pink, but the reception was kind of gothic theme and black and red.
