Q: Does anyone have a recipie for a white cake suitable for a wedding?
I would like a recipie for a wedding cake. I went to an american wedding once and they had the most awesome white cake with white frosting. I would appreciate a recipie if one could be found. Including the frosting. Thanks!
Wow, thank you all soooo much. I wish I could give everyone a best answer!
A: Easy Vanilla Cake
560 grams butter and shortening ( 280g butter,280 grams shortening, crisco is fine)
1200 grams Sugar
1200 grams flour
56 grams baking powder
2 tea spoons salt
720 grams whole milk
420 egg yolks
2 table spoons vanilla
Pre heat oven to 350. In a mixing bowl, place butter/shortening and sugar, mix with a paddel until creamed ( light and fluffy). ONce the butter mixture is done, add all the other ingredients and mix well until most of the grains of sugar had dissolved ( the mix should not look grainy).
This mix will make a varity of cake sizes.
Butter Cream.
2 lbs egg whites
4 lbs sugar
2 – 2.5 lbs of butter.
Mix together egg white and sugar in a bowl that is heat safe. Place the bowl with sugar and eggs over a pot of steaming water. Stir ever once and a while until the sugar has dissolved (10-15 mins). When the sugar had dissolved the mix should be very hot, pour the mix into and electric mixing bowl and using a whisk, whip until fluffy. When fluffy and cool slowly add you butter (2 lbs), still whisking. The butter cream will look as if it has cracked (separated) but do not worry keep whisking it and it will come together. ( the other half lb of butter might need to be added depending how dry your butter is, if after whisking for a few minutes and it does not come together add some of rhe remaing butter until nice and fluffy.)
This recipe works, wee use it to produce over 25 wedding cakes a week. any other questions please ask.

Q: How do you make a boxed white cake taste better like for a wedding cake.?
I am going to make a simple wedding cake and need to make the white box mix taste better any suggestions
A: To make it tastier and look fancier buy a vanilla bean, carefully cut it open and scrape the seeds from inside into the mix. They will add a rich vanilla flavor and the scattering of vanilla seeds through out the mix will make it look like a professional cake made with real vanilla.
For a cheaper alternative you can add a light citrus flavor by finely zesty either a lemon or an orange and adding the zest to the mix. A microplane zester works best because it will create very small flakes. Make sure to only get the thinest part of the outer layer. The white part under the skin can taste bitter.
No matter what you do make sure to make a test run or two before the big day to make sure it turns out how you expect. Good luck and congratulations to the luck couple!
Q: Ideas for a pink, black, and white wedding cake?
Okay, sooo… just one week ago exactly, my fiance of 2 years and I decided we wanted to get married soon because we keep waiting for the perfect time and it just never seemed to happen. So, the wedding is June 23. So, I need some ideas quick like. haha. Okay, I want my colors to be pink, black, and white, and I’ve been searching the web forever looking for ideas for a pink, black, and white cake. Found some that were okay, but I’m not a frilly type of gal… and all the cakes seemed to be all flowers and ribbons. Not into that sort of thing. Sooo, if any of you have any ideas, links, or could be any help at all… PLEASE help. haha I’m on a veryyy tight timeline… and I’m going nuts trying to find something I like. I want a sort of hot pink, something that will stand out. Nothing too pastel. Anyway, Thanks in advance!
A: Go visit a few bakeries and discuss with them your ideas. Any bakery worth it’s salt would be able to give you a cake of your dreams. You could do cakes decorated like presents, or you could have one polka-dot and one stripped, something like that would be very cute. I bet they will have some cute ideas, too. Good luck, your color scheme sounds great, I hope you find what you are looking for! Congrats on your upcoming nuptials.
Q: Does anyone have a SIMPLE recipie for a WHITE wedding cake?
A: Simple Moist White Cake
* 1 cup butter, softened
* 3 cups white sugar
* 7 eggs
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 cup sour cream
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan or a 10 inch Bundt pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix until all of the flour is absorbed. Finally, stir in the sour cream. Mix for 1 or 2 minutes just to be sure there are no lumps. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
3. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of cake comes out clean. For Bundt cakes, allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
Q: I am making 2 tier wedding cake out white cake mix with almond flavoring. Any suggestion for the filling?
Do you have a good Pineapple filling recipe?
Raspberry sounds good to..recipe?
A: Raspberry or Bavarian sounds really good with that.
Q: Is the wedding Cake suppose to match your wedding dress? Live White & White or Ivory & Ivory?
OK, weather this is true or not, I was just wondering if anyone has heard that if you have a white wedding dress then you have to have white icing on your cake or if you have an ivory dress you have to have ivory icing? Is this what you are suppose to do? Did you do this? Help!
A: You know, I never thought about it, but I guess the cakes generally do match the brides gown. I’m having a white cake with red gerbera daisies, and my gown is white, his tux has white accents, and our flowers are all red gerbera daisies…
I don’t think you have to match, I think it’s probably something that we brides do out of habit more than anything else.
Good luck, and Congratulations!
Q: How do I stop the colour bleeding through when I cover a chocolate mud wedding cake with white royal icing?
The weddding cake will have a fruit cake top with 2 tiers of mud cake (3 tiers in all) no pillars, with a cascade of icing roses flowing from the top tier.
A: make sure the cake has cooled completely and then add one thin layer of icing (i almost put ice cream there lol!) and let it dry then add another thicker layer of icing and that should prevent the color from bleeding through.
Q: How to make white chocolate icing for a wedding cake.?
I am looking for an extract or flavoring for making white chocolate icing for a wedding cake. My icing needs to be bright white and I need an easy no fail way to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have seen recipes where you melt white chocolate but that looks difficult and more time consuming. And I’m not sure how truly white that would be.
A: For the 7-Minute Frosting:
3 large egg whites
12 ounces sugar, approximately 1 3/4 cups
1/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Bring 1 quart of water to a boil in a 4-quart saucepan over high heat. Decrease the heat to medium to maintain a steady simmer. In the meantime, place the egg whites, sugar, water, cream of tartar and salt into a medium size-mixing bowl. Place the bowl over the simmering water and immediately begin beating with an electric hand mixer set to low speed. Beat for 1 minute and then increase the speed to high and continue to beat for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and beat in the vanilla extracts for 1 minute. Allow the frosting to sit for 5 minutes before using.
Good luck!!
Q: Wedding Cake: blue ribbon wrapped around white cake or chocolate drizzle on sides?
Both cakes would have a few real peach lilies and/or peach rose petals for color.
A: Do you want elegant and pretty, or decadent and delicious?
If you’re having a very classic wedding, go with the ribbon, if you’re having a more modern wedding, go with the chocolate.
If you’re basing it off of the visusal “YUM” factor, go with the chocolate, because chocolate tastes better than ribbons, and studies have shown that blue is the most unappealing color on food-(because the only naturally blue food is blueberries). Oh! There’s an idea! You could do a chocolate drizzle with blueberries decorating the chocolate to incorporate your color scheme! (Strawberries would look great too, and I don’t even like strawberries! They just make everything seem so much more decadent though…) Anyway, good luck, congrats, and happy cake shopping!

Q: Does anyone have any wedding cake pictures of a white tier cake with purple orchids?
I am getting Married on Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving) on the Big Island, Hawaii. My colors are purple and orange. I am trying to figure out what to do with the wedding cake. I am pretty sure I want a plain white 3 tier cake draped in purple orchids, but I need ideas.
